The route ascends gradually through rainforest, giant heather moorlands, rocky ridges, and volcanic crater terrain toward Socialist Peak. Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by the Kilimanjaro Raven Company team and transferred to your hotel in Arusha or Moshi. After breakfast, drive to Momella Gate inside Arusha National Park for registration. Accompanied by an armed ranger, begin your trek through open grasslands and montane forest where wildlife such as giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, and monkeys are often seen.
The route gradually ascends through lush forest filled with giant fig trees and tropical vegetation while offering beautiful views of Meru Crater and Ash Cone. Arrive at Miriakamba Hut in the afternoon for dinner and rest.

Continue ascending through dense forest before entering the heath and moorland zone. The trail becomes steeper with increasingly spectacular views of Meru Crater and Ash Cone. As you gain altitude, panoramic views of Mount Kilimanjaro emerge.
Arrive at Saddle Hut in the afternoon with time to rest. An optional hike to Little Meru (3,820m) can be arranged for additional acclimatization and sunset photography. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay.

Today is reserved for acclimatization to improve summit success. After breakfast, enjoy a light hike toward Little Meru while taking in spectacular panoramic views across the Meru Crater, Ash Cone, and Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance.
The remainder of the day is spent resting and hydrating. Your guides will provide a detailed briefing for the midnight climb to Socialist Peak. Enjoy an early dinner before the summit attempt.

Your summit attempt begins shortly after midnight as you ascend toward Rhino Point along a dramatic crater ridge. Reach Socialist Peak (4,566m), the summit of Mount Meru, where magnificent views stretch across the Great Rift Valley.
After celebrating, descend back to Saddle Hut for a rest and brunch. Continue down to Momella Gate to receive your trekking certificate before the drive back to Arusha or Moshi for well-deserved relaxation.
