Itinerary

  • Morning

    Your day begins with a short drive from Arusha to Arusha National Park, passing through local communities and farmlands. Upon arrival at the park gate, you’ll complete entry formalities before starting your game drive through the park’s forested areas.

    Morning exploration takes you through the lush montane forest near Mount Meru, where you may encounter black-and-white colobus monkeys, blue monkeys, and colorful bird species. The cool morning air and peaceful atmosphere make this an excellent time for wildlife viewing and photography.

  • Afternoon

    Around midday, you’ll stop for lunch at a scenic picnic site overlooking Momella Lakes or the surrounding plains. The area is rich in birdlife, with flamingos, herons, and pelicans often seen near the lakes.

    After lunch, the safari continues across open grasslands where giraffes and buffaloes graze with Mount Meru forming a dramatic backdrop. Depending on your preference, you may also enjoy a guided walking safari accompanied by an armed ranger, offering a closer connection to nature.

  • Evening

    In the late afternoon, you’ll enjoy a final game drive while slowly exiting the park. As the light softens, the landscapes around Mount Meru become especially beautiful, providing excellent photo opportunities.

    You’ll return to Arusha in the early evening, marking the end of a relaxed yet rewarding safari experience. This day trip is perfect for travelers seeking diverse scenery, wildlife, and outdoor activities close to town.
