After completing registration formalities, continue by vehicle through mountain forest tracks toward Morum Barrier, the starting point of your hike.
Begin trekking across the scenic Shira Plateau surrounded by open moorland, volcanic rocks, and giant alpine plants unique to Kilimanjaro’s high-altitude environment. The cool mountain air and spectacular landscapes create an unforgettable introduction to the mountain’s western wilderness.
